Choral works

Choral music is written for a choir, with more than one singer to each part, often joined by soloists and an orchestra or organ. The usual mixed choir has four parts: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Most works here set sacred texts; Orff's Carmina Burana, on medieval poems mostly in Latin, is one of the exceptions.
